Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE to play with sugar? I was packing away these leftover flamingos and I thought I would get one last picture of them. I wish I could keep them out to look at, but they will fade soon if I do not put them away. I just love the pink and how much fun I had making them even if I did have to cut them all out by hand with a knife. :o) Why do I feel like watching Miami Vice now????

Pink Flamingos
This was a little 7" cake I threw together as quickly as I could. It was for a 40th birthday for a very sweet lady. The cake was white with buttercream icing, and all of the details are made from gumpaste. Thanks for looking!

Red and Blue Photo Redo
Yea! I finally got to re-shoot the red and blue cupcakes today! Today has been absolutely gorgeous, so I thought the lighting would be perfect for a little impromptu photo shoot. I learned some good things about outdoor set ups today........
1) Plan out everything you need so you do not have to go in and out a bunch of times to get things.
2) I love windy spring days like this, but keep clear packing tape or pins handy to keep the wind from blowing things around too much. You can see in some of the photos where the table cloth had been moved around from it.
3) Keep a little painbrush handy for all of the little critters that want to land on the icing! These cupcakes will not be eaten or given away by the way.
4) Do not have a gallbladder attack in the middle of it.
Okay so on with the pictures. I am loving how these turned out and I am loving this glorious day that the Lord has given us!! Thank you Lord!!
Oh, and these are white cake with buttercream icing and fondant flowers.
Thanks for looking!

My Favorite Part of Cake Designing
My favorite part of cake designing is the joy that the recipient receives. I am so grateful for all of the people that have honored me with the chance to make their day sweet and joyful! Thank you a million times over! Your love and support mean more to me than words can express!

SUNRISE SUNSET
This is one of my all time favorite movie scenes and songs. It is from the movie "Fiddler on the Roof". I thought it was perfect to post in honor of the up and coming wedding season. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Blue and Red Sneak Peak Part 2
Sorry, I know I said I was going to reshoot some of these photos, but the week has gone by and guess what......no reshoot yet. I will repost some better pictues as soon as I can!
Anyhoo, these cupcakes were for a very sweet young lady that works with my sister. She is getting married in May. Her family threw her a shower this past weekend, and let me tell you they were all as sweet as can be and even invited me to the shower. It was so nice finally getting to meet them all and to see some people I had not seen in a while.
The theme was robin's egg blue and poppy red. One of her sisters very sweetly FedExed me the cupcake papers and I matched the colors up with them. I hand made all of the topper decorations. There were love birds and many different kinds of flowers on all of them.
Most of the cupcakes where white white buttercream icing, but about 15 or so where carrot cake with cream cheese icing.
Thanks for looking!
