Packaging

Here is an idea for packaging I am playing around with.

Skulls and Cross Bones

These cuppies were for a friend's birthday. I had to make sure they were not girly, so I went with the skulls. They were butter cake with chocolate buttercream, yummy!

Swimming Pool

Here is the cake that went with the alligator cake. It is a replica of the swimming pool that the team uses. I added little diving boards, hand rails, and a finish line flag. The kids loved seeing their pool in edible form!

Allistor Alligator

This was for the 30th anniversary of a local youth swim team. They are called the Gators and so I was asked to make an alligtor for them. I had a fun time sculpting him and modeling the fondant to look like his scales. I learned several things making this cake, one of them being that I need an airbrush! I had to paint him by hand. This was a big cake and I had to get someone to help me deliver him. He was sitting on a 20x30 board and his tail was hanging over the side a little bit. I hope the kids enjoyed him.

Whimsy Roses and Candles

This was based on a design from Le Gateux. The candles are made out of fondant, as are the swags and roses. The cake is a butter cake covered in fondant.

50th Anniversary Monogram

Here are some close ups of the monogram.

50th Wedding Anniversary

This 4 tier cake was for a 50th wedding anniversary. That is the bride's original wedding portrait in the background. What a beautiful bride and a beautiful photograph. This cake was so heavy that it had to be assembled on site. The fondant kept giving me fits, but I loved how it turned out.

Shabby Sweet Roses

These were given as a thank you gift. I think they are very shabby sweet.

Summer Fun!

Whimsical roses and polka dots on this three tier butter and chocolate cake. It is covered in fondant and has fondant ribbon roses and leaves. This one took me around 22 hours to complete. I was very happy with the color combination on this. The original design came from Le Gateau ( if I remember correctly).
